Example: Let's say you have 3000 photos with various sizes, e.g. one image has a size of 6MB (megabytes) and the resolutions/measures are something like 4000x3000 pixels. So, 3000 6MB images would take up around 18000MB (18 GigaBytes) of disk/storage space. However, if the image sizes and resolutions are reduced to 0.7MB and 1280x960px, you would gain more free space, as 3000x0.7=2100MB or 2.1GB. This service is meant for you, if you want to create an image archive (e.g. memories), and do not plan to print them with superhigh quality. The re-sized images will look like the originals for the naked eye when viewed on laptop or mobile phone, but will not be very much zoomable. For comparison: Photo and its re-sized result.
